Every so often I glance at my nightstand and think: if a stranger saw this, what would they decide about me?
Right now, probably that I’m highly unorganized, which isn’t true, but my nightstand is a battlefield. My reading glasses, my Kindle, my AirPods, my iPad, and the occasional (well, maybe more than occasional) bedtime snack are all fighting for position. And that’s before you even get to the stack of physical books.
So here’s what’s in that pile (and queued up in my Kindle and Audible):
- The Boleyn Secret by Alison Weir: Tudor court intrigue, seen through the eyes of Anne Boleyn’s niece
- Death on a Summer’s Day by Benedict Brown: a witty 1920s country-house whodunit
